Three-hundred twenty four students took the final exam in STAT 2023 during spring 2011. The average on the test was 58.9 so a 12 point add on curve was used to adjust the average to be at least 70%. The standard deviation of the exam scores was 18.2. With the curve the median was 72 and the mode was 82.

The average on the test was 65.5, so a 5 point add on curve was used to increase the average to 70.5. The standard deviation of the exam scores was 20.2. The median and mode of the curved grades were 73 and 85, respectively.

The class did great on exam one! The average is 79.14 with a standard deviation of 15. The median is 82 and the mode is 91. Three hundred and seventy five students took the exam. The password to open the file will be sent to your okstate.edu email account, and then view your grades in the row labeled with your CWID in the left column. If you are on a Mac machine then save the file to your desktop and open it with Acrobat Viewer, rather than Apple Preview.
The STAT 2023 fall 2010 complete grade record is posted. It contains all homework grades, homework total points, fourteen attendance checks, three common exams grades, final exam grade, total points for the semester, and the assigned letter grades. The average on the final exam was 57.6; a 13 point add on curve was used to adjust the mean to be more than 70. Letter grades were assigned by the fixed point scale stated on the syllabus.

Exam three in STAT 2023 for Fall 2010 had a mean of 57.7. A 13 point add on curved adjusted the mean to 70.4. The curved scores had a median of 72, standard deviation of 17.2, and a mode of 83. The grade record including hw 1-17, exams one, two, three, and attendance checks 1-10 is posted. Check the subtotal points for exam three that is provided in the column to the right of curved exam three. We will discuss in class how to use that subtotal value to estimate your current grade and to figure out what you need on hw 18-20 and on the final exam in order to achieve a certain letter grade.
